Rey loved the outdoors, especially being at the beach. He could be found surfing, skateboarding, playing ball at the park, and riding bikes all over the neighborhood. He was a loving Uncle who always enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was daring and courageous, maybe a little bit crazy but always lived life wholeheartedly. At Venice High School, Rey played football and was a ferocious linebacker. He was a Cowboy fan for the family and a Raider fan with all the homies in the neighborhood. He loved to watch Lakers basketball and Dodgers baseball. Rey loved his family deeply. He was a talented and creative person who could re-tile a floor and repair just about anything. He never hesitated to help out friends in need. He had a passion for living and would want us all to be the same.
A celebration of his life will be held following the funeral service on Wednesday, November 8, starting at 4:00pm at the Rose Room (on Rose and Speedway) in Venice, CA.
