Michael Anthony Carter, Sr., was a husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend to many. He passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. Michael was born on September 28, 1947, in Los Angeles. A man of simple joys and deep passions, Michael loved cars (especially his red corvette), his koi pond, raising pigeons, good barbeque. He enjoyed listening to music and sharing music with this family and anyone who was interested. He was known for getting up early on the weekends and playing music loud enough for the neighbors to hear, which was okay as many of his neighbors expressed that they came to expect and enjoy his musical selections. Michael also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and would go on road trips and flights to share new arrivals, special occasions and to just hang out. Whether telling stories, offering advice, sharing a meal or helping to buy a car, Michael made people feel seen, valued, and loved. His memories live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Michael’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Michael is survived by his wife, his three siblings, his five children, and 13 grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
