Barry Tyrone Elder Sr.

Barry Tyrone Elder, Sr born on June 18, 1962, in Los Angeles, CA was 8 of a total of 9 children born to Jonathan Elder and Wille Pearl Elder. Barry served as a Seamen Apprentice in the NAVY from November 1982 until October 1983. Barry had many nicknames from his family such as: Rockie, Baby Boy, Lil’ Red, Unc, Uncle Barry, ChickenHead (given to him by Melly Mel, Nate and Amora) or as he liked to call himself ChillB’! – We believe he enjoyed calling himself ChilliB’! because of his infamous and delicious turkey chilli dish that he loved to make. Or maybe because he just enjoyed chilling on his days off; no matter what he left a smile on all our hearts, to know Barry was to love him – to know that smile is to know him. We will always remember the love he had for everyone around him and his infectious laughter. He leaves behind his son's Barry Jr, Joshua and daughter Briana, as well as, 2 grandchildren Selena and Jacobee.
