On June 19, 1933 a set of twins were born to James Norman and Cora Wilhite Alcorn. Annie Sue Alcorn Richardson was one of those twins, number six of seven children. She attended Oak Grove Baptist Church with her family, accepting Christ at an early age. After she graduated from Branch High School where she was a star basketball player. She attended University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, formerly known as Arkansas Agricultural Mechanical & Normal (Arkansas AM&N). After receiving her degree in Education, she taught school for a few years in Arkansas before coming to Los Angeles, California with her new husband, whom she married in 1959. To that union a daughter was born. In Los Angeles, California she joined Zion Hill Baptist Church where she was an active member of her sorority Phi Delta Kappa, Phi Beta Chapter where she served as Basileus, and Chair of the Xinos. She retired from teaching for LAUSD after 40+ years.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, her six siblings, Aunts and Uncles. She leaves behind her loving daughter Felicia and Granddaughter Erica, beloved Niece Cora Williams, Sister-n-law Mazie Alcorn and a host of Nieces, Nephews and friends.
